You have a single master cluster and would like to update their kernel. Can we cordon or drain the master node?
- Platform9 Managed Kubernetes - All Versions
For the single master node, if you cordon/drain it and then proceed to update the kernel and/or reboot it, during the process when the node gets rebooted and all services come back up, you won't be able to perform any cluster operations for that period of time. Other than that, there should not be any issues.
